Classes
Three styles, three levels each, and a fortnight of them below. Read what a level means in the style you want before you pick one — Beginner in House is not Beginner in Jazz-Funk.
The styles
What each one is, who teaches it, and what you are signing up for at every level.

Hip-Hop
Weight, bounce, and the nerve to take up space.
Hip-Hop starts in the knees. Before choreography, before anything looks like a routine, you learn the bounce — a rhythm that sits in your chest and drops through the floor. From there come the foundations: party dances with names and histories, isolations, grooves you can carry anywhere. Classes run to boom bap, trap, and whatever the teacher is arguing about that week. It rewards attitude, but only once it has your timing. Expect to sweat, and to repeat one eight-count until it stops belonging to you.
What the levels mean here
- 01Beginner
- You learn the bounce and the rock, and you learn them slowly. Nothing longer than eight counts until the groove holds up without you thinking about it.
- 02Intermediate
- Foundation is assumed. You pick choreography up at speed, work on texture and dynamics, and start getting asked what you meant by that.
- 03Advanced
- Full pieces on tight timelines, plus freestyle rounds with nowhere to hide. You're pushed to build a point of view, not to execute someone else's.

House
Footwork at speed, over a beat that never lets up.
House is fast and it does not stop. Built over four-on-the-floor at around 125 beats per minute, it lives in the feet: jacking through the spine, lofting in the legs, footwork that outruns your eye. It is the most social style we teach and quietly the most technical, because there is no choreography to hide behind — only a groove you either hold or lose. Classes lean on Chicago and New York lineage, and they end in a circle more often than not.
What the levels mean here
- 01Beginner
- You learn the jack and the basic step, and you spend most of the hour on stamina. The tempo is the hard part; the rest is patience.
- 02Intermediate
- Footwork combinations, direction changes and lofting. You start improvising inside the groove instead of counting your way through it.
- 03Advanced
- Speed, layering, and the circle. You're expected to hold a full track on your own and to know where the movement came from.

Jazz-Funk
Sharp, theatrical, and built to be watched.
Jazz-Funk is the loudest thing we teach. It borrows jazz technique — line, extension, control — and spends all of it on something closer to a music video: hard hits, long looks, choreography made for a camera. Classes run to pop and R&B, and the counts are tight. You work on isolation and on selling a movement past the back row, which is a skill rather than a personality. It is also the fastest way to find out what you look like when you commit.
What the levels mean here
- 01Beginner
- Technique first: posture, isolations, and how to land a count cleanly. Choreography stays short and gets repeated until it lives in your body instead of your head.
- 02Intermediate
- Longer pieces at tempo, with real attention to dynamics and performance. You will be filmed, and you will watch it back.
- 03Advanced
- Complex choreography learned inside a single class, then your own reading of it. Expect notes, and expect to use them.
